The Challenge
of Excellence
A legend in the speaking industry, Art Holst's broad background provides
the foundation for his messages of inspiration and humor. Art was a salesman
with Harlan E. Moore & Company, a building materials business for
10 years. He was a member of the Economic Security Committee of the United
States Chamber of Commerce. For 12 years, he worked as an Administrator
of the Forest Park Foundation on park and recreation development, physical
medicine and rehabilitation, housing for the elderly and other creative
programs aimed at community betterment.
As an infantry captain in World War
II, Art Holst learned how to educate, train and motivate troops
to react to challenging times. Art is best known for his humor
and as a "Sunday Zebra" officiating for the National
Football League for 15 years. He officiated 4 Championship games
and 2 Super Bowls. Art currently serves on the supervisory staff
as an observer, rating college officials' field performance.
He is the author of Sunday Zebras.
What goes into an Art Holst presentation?
A highly targeted, motivational message interspersed with NFL
football anecdotes and good clean humor. One of his favorite
themes is "The Challenge of Excellence," drawn from
his personal experiences during his long career in business,
sports and civic affairs.
Art Holst's presentations are tailored
to your needs, whether kickoff, wind-up or seminar. Versatility
is a "trademark" as he talks about handling change,
problem solving, discipline, teamwork, communicating effectively
and how to laugh at yourself. When Art speaks, people listen,
laugh, and leave with new expectations, and with the desire to
put their talents to work, both on the job and in their personal
lives.

"Just a quick note to thank
you for your outstanding motivational presentation this past
month. We have had the opportunity at Ford Motor Company to
hear some of the best speakers in the world and I have to tell
you, you are the best!
The time you take to incorporate
our message into your presentation makes your comments so very
valuable to us. Many speakers are funny, like you, but few
can get the message across as you did. You have the ability
to capture the hearts and minds of the audience."
