Leadership In The Real World
There are hundreds of seminars and workshops on the subject
of leadership. Far too many of them focus on theory and not
reality. Drawing on years of experience training leaders across
the country, expert and motivational speaker Ken shares Real
World insights and techniques that are not only sound, they
work!
Rather than just expounding on abstract principles, Ken’s
Leadership In The Real World Program will give your leadership
team the vital skills they need to be effective in the real
world.
Ken takes the mystery out of leading others and makes it plain.
Whether you are a team leader, manager, supervisor, coach,
pastor, or boss, this book will revolutionize the way you view
leadership.
Leadership In The Real World consists of 4 sessions or modules
that should be taught every quarter. It is done this way
to condition the participants to The Canion Methodology of
leadership.
Ken uses Assertiveness Conditioning to teach these principles
so that they are solidified in each participants mind. He
uses each session to build on the previous one.
To ensure effectiveness, Ken simulates real world situations
during training, to prepare participants for what will occur
as a result of using the strategies and techniques that he
imparts.
My Branding Journey
Looking back, I have always believed in branding myself. I
can remember times when I would raise my hand to answer questions
that other students avoided. I wanted to be recognized and
it didn’t matter whether I was right or wrong. I just
wanted my teachers to have a certain perception about me. I
wanted them to believe that I wanted to learn what they were
teaching, and that I wasn’t afraid to try. Thus, my brand
was solidified.
The benefits were obvious to me, however, my peers couldn’t
see them. They included: better grades, more privileges, and
a good reputation.
What they didn’t know, nor did I, was the power of personal
branding. Later, after studying personal branding methodology, I refined
those same techniques. That applied knowledge got me featured
on QVC, Home Shopping Channel, CNN, and NBC along with numerous
articles in national magazines and newspapers. Now, I teach
companies, entrepreneurs, and professionals techniques that
will help them build a strong brand.
What is Personal Branding
Personal Branding is the art of creating a mental imprint
or perception about a person, product, or organization. It
is about controlling the way you’re perceived by your
target audience or community that you serve. Companies spend
enormous resources on building their brand. Why? They know
that a powerful brand adds value, secures customers, and increases
profits. Now, professionals and entrepreneurs can market their
brand just like the large companies do.
”Regardless of age, regardless of position, regardless
of the business we happen to in, all of us need to understand
the importance of branding. We are CEOs of our own companies:
Me Inc. To be in business today, our most important job is
to be head marketer of the brand called You” Tom Peters
said in ”
All you have to do is begin looking at yourself as though you
are a brand name product.
Whether you are a professional ready to catapult to the next
level in your career or an entrepreneur embarking on your first
business venture, I will teach you how to accentuate your unique
attributes to stand out in a crowded and competitive marketplace.
Why is Personal Branding Important?
Primarily because the workplace just isn’t what it used
to be. For those working inside the corporate world, job security
is almost non-existent. According to research data from Monster.com,
only 26% of employees are confident in their job security,
54% are currently looking for their next job, and 90% of those
polled have considered making a career change in the last year.
Gone are the days of long-term pension plans and corporate
loyalty. Today’s workplace is filled with layoffs and
cutbacks.
For those who are interested in becoming an entrepreneur and
being their own boss, the road is still littered with its own
challenges and obstacles. Some statistics say 80% of the businesses
started will end in four years. Some dispute this number and
say that the success is a little higher. Either way, you are
going to have to build a strong brand to succeed in business.
